The Swiss Grand Award for Design, in 2026, will be granted on the recommendation of the Federal Design Commission to the design and architecture studio atelier oï, the graphic designer Ursula Hiestand, and the designer and researcher Simone C. Niquille.

The 2026 Swiss Film Honorary Award goes to director, screenwriter, and producer Villi Hermann, who was born in Lucerne and now lives in Lugano. With a career spanning more than half a century, he has had a profound impact on Swiss filmmaking. His work, acclaimed for its boldness, social commitment, and artistic refinement, has made him an essential reference point for Swiss cinema on the international stage.

Das Bundesamt für Kultur würdigt das Werk der Schriftstellerin Corinne Desarzens mit der höchsten Auszeichnung für Literatur in der Schweiz. Der Spezialpreis Übersetzung geht in diesem Jahr an Christian Viredaz. Sieben Werke, die im vergangenen Literaturjahr erschienen sind, werden mit einem Schweizer Literaturpreis ausgezeichnet. Die Preisverleihung findet am Freitag, 15. Mai 2026, im Rahmen der Solothurner Literaturtage in Anwesenheit der Vorsteherin des Eidgenössischen Departements des Innern Bundesrätin Elisabeth Baume-Schneider statt.

On the recommendation of the Federal Art Commission, the Federal Office of Culture is awarding this year's Swiss Art Grand Prize / Meret Oppenheim Prize to Fabrice Gygi, Hilar Stadler, and Tilla Theus. The award ceremony will take place on June 15, 2026, in Basel in the presence of Federal Councilor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider and will be followed by the opening of the Swiss Art Awards exhibition.
