Cristina Galbiati

(b. 1973 in Italy) is a director, independent artist and co-founder of the Ticino-based artist duo Trickster-p, which received a Swiss Theatre Award in 2017. She graduated from the Scuola Teatro Dimitri, where she met her artistic partner Ilija Luginbühl, in 1997. Trickster-p is resident at the casa del tabacco in Novazzano. Their projects, which often consist of three-dimensional sound landscapes and are influenced by various artistic disciplines, tour around the world. Between 2003 and 2013 Cristina Galbiati was responsible for Italian-speaking Switzerland at astej (now Assitej). She is a member of the Performing Arts committee in the Canton of Ticino and a board member of the Swiss theatre professionals’ association t.
