A Swiss accolade at the international competition Best Book Design from all over the World in Leipzig
Switzerland also won an award at this year’s Best Book Design from all over the World competition, organised by the Buchkunst Foundation in Leipzig. Of 550 books from 32 countries, one book that won a Most Beautiful Swiss Book award was presented with a bronze medal. The book is Hidden Heartache, Simone Keller (ed.), Ed. Jungle Books, St. Gallen / Stefan Wagner, Kulturstiftung des Kantons Thurgau, Frauenfeld; graphic design: Samuel Bänziger, Rosario Florio, Larissa Kasper, St. Gallen; printing: Ostschweiz Druck AG, Wittenbach .
The book Au fil de la joie. Théâtre des Marionnettes de Genève, Camille Bozonnet (ed.), Éditions La Baconnière, Chêne-Bourg; graphic design: Franziska Burkhardt, Zürich; printing: TBS, La Buona Stampa SA, Lugano-Pregassona, is part of the shortlist among 21 books .
The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2024 will be presented at the Leipzig Book Fair from 27 to 30 March 2025, hall 5, stand D600/C601. The award ceremony will take place at 4pm on Friday 28 March.
As part of the Best Book Design from all over the World tour, all 20 of the winning books in Switzerland will also be presented at Weltformat Lucerne, at the Icelandic Museum of Design and Applied Art, and at the Printing Museum, Tokyo
