(1960) Bernard Comment taught at the University of Pisa and worked as a researcher at the Ecole des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris. At the same time, he worked as a sports editor and screenwriter for Alain Tanner. He publishes essays and novels and translates works of literature, especially by Antonio Tabucchi. He is Head of Collection Fiction & Cie of Editions du Seuil and Program Consultant at Arte. He was awarded the title Officier des Arts et des Lettres and is awarded by numerous prizes, namely the Prix Goncourt de la Nouvelle for "Tout passe" in 2011.
