Nominations Night

The nominations are announced at the end of January each year as part of the Solothurn Film Festival. A total of 457,500 Swiss francs is available in nomination prize money across the thirteen categories.

Allegra Nominees!

Every year, the Swiss Film Academy invites all the nominees to a gathering in Bern. At this “family reunion” they receive their nomination certificates, celebrate their accomplishments and rub shoulders with fellow nominees. This event is supported by SRG SSR.

Settimana delle nomination

The presentation of the Swiss Film Awards is accompanied by a series of events for the public: Nominees Week is an opportunity for audiences to discover the diversity of Swiss cinema.

Tickets cost 5 francs per film.

The programme is free of charge at the weekend, when all the award-winning films will be shown again.

Nominees Week is made possible by the commitment of the Association “Quartz” Genève Zürich, a cooperation between the Canton and City of Geneva and the City of Zurich, thanks to a contribution from the Canton of Zurich, and in collaboration with the FOC and SRG SSR.

Awards ceremony

The annual Swiss Film Awards ceremony has been held alternately in Geneva and Zurich since 2013. Representatives from the worlds of film, politics, business and culture from all language regions come together to celebrate the outstanding cinematic achievements of Swiss filmmakers.
