Lena is a cheerful student who firmly believes in happiness and the good in people. As part of a social project, she is sent by the office as a writing coach to Hugo Drowak, who has long since lost his luck and lives alone in a run-down tower block. Despite his notorious nastiness, Lena doesn't give up trying to get him interested in the creative process. She is convinced that everyone deserves a second chance. Reluctantly, Drowak begins to write about the love of his life, awakening the demons of his past. When Lena realises the connection, she resolutely confronts them.
