Since 2009, artist duo Lena Amuat and Zoë Meyer have been creating a corpus of photographs devoted to mysterious sculptures. The series, which resembles a rigorously and systematically compiled inventory, comprises mathematical models photographed in various European scientific collections. Surprising though it may seem, the result is a work that is cheerful, creative and poetic. Their chosen methodology has not changed over the last 15 years, and could indeed prove valuable to anyone looking for documentation on these somewhat antiquated models.
