Anne Davier

Anne Davier (b. 1968) studied literature, education, dance, art and performance in Besançon. During a diverse career, she has supported and promoted artistic practices, cultural policies, specialist writing on dance and knowledge transfer. She joined the contemporary dance association ADC in Geneva in 2000, holding a number of roles over a period of 25 years, most recently Artistic and General Director from 2017 to 2025. She was instrumental in the creation of the Pavillon ADC and in putting Cindy Van Acker forward as “associate artist”. Winner of a Swiss Performing Arts Award in 2025, Anne Davier has been involved in Swiss dance policies, notably through Pro Helvetia and the national dance network Reso. Together with Annie Suquet, she co‑authored the reference work La danse contemporaine en Suisse. 1960-2010 (Contemporary Dance in Switzerland. 1960-2010), which was published in 2016 and has been translated into German and Russian.
