Nicolette Kretz

(b. 1977) has directed the AUAWIRLEBEN theatre festival in Bern since 2015, having previously acted as its dramaturge and then co-director. In 2011 she attended the FIT Festival Lab, a one-year further training programme for young European theatre festival organisers. She is also a freelance writer who performs texts on various stages. Nicolette Kretz worked in New York on a literature scholarship from the Canton of Bern in 2008/09, and attended the Dramenprozessor development programme in 2004/05. She studied theatre science, business administration and English and American literature in Bern and Berlin and obtained a doctorate from the Institute of Theatre Studies at the University of Bern.
