Myriam Prongué

(b. 1960) was joint director of the Schlachthaus Theater in Bern from 2003 to 2014. She studied Slavic languages, general linguistics and history at the universities of Bern, Lublin (Poland) and Prague. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration in Lausanne. She has also worked as a translator and editor at Radio Praha International, a member of staff at the cantonal library in Fribourg, head of programmes at Pro Helvetia for Central and Eastern Europe, head of the Pro Helvetia office in Krakow and communications officer at the Swiss Refugee Council in Bern. She was also chair of the board of the Belluard Bollwerk International festival in Fribourg from 2008 to 2013. Myriam Prongué left the jury at the end of February 2014. Since March 2014 she has been head of theatre promotion at Pro Helvetia.
