Danielle Chaperon

(b. 1962) is Professor of French Literature at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). Her research focuses on the history and theory of theatre. In 2013 she was involved in setting up a Master’s degree programme in theatre science in French-speaking Switzerland, and since 2003 she has headed the CAS in Dramaturgy and Text Performance continuing education course, a partnership between UNIL and the Manufacture. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences and the board of the Science et Cité Foundation, as well as the Performing Arts Commission of the City of Lausanne.
