Swiss Dance and Choreography Award 2002-2011
The Corymbo Foundation gave out the Swiss Dance and Choreography Award every year for ten years in conjunction with the ProTanz Association. It was financed by the Foundation’s Annette Ringier Fund.
This award and the gala ceremony at which it was presented raised awareness of Swiss independent dance and honoured exceptional artistic achievement.
When the Culture Promotion Act entered into force in 2012, the federal government took over the task of giving out awards in all artistic fields, including dance. The Swiss Dance Awards will be presented every two years, starting in 2013.
