Exhibition
The exhibition The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2022, designed by Damian Fopp, showcases the 400 books that took part in the competition, including the 20 award-winning books. Winfried Heininger, winner of the Jan Tschichold Award 2023, has been given carte blanche to present his work in one of the exhibition rooms.
The catalogue The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2022, produced by Samuel Bänziger, Rosario Florio and Larissa Kasper, will be presented for the first time at the vernissage.
The most beautiful Swiss books of the current and previous years, as well as the catalogue, will be available for sale at the pop-up bookshop for the duration of the exhibition.
Public programme
On Sunday, 25 June, at 11.30 am, a guided tour in Swiss-German sign language is scheduled with Lua Leirner.
On Sunday, 25 June, a platform is organised for students and recent alumni of Swiss art and design universities to meet and talk with leading figures from the publishing world as well as members of the Jury.
The guests are: Florine Bonaventure (designer); Remo Bitzi & Raphael Schoen (Zweikommasieben Magazin); Winfried Heininger (Kodoji Press); Anne König (Spector Books); Jury members Sereina Rothenberger (Hammer) and Gina Bucher (author and editor); Dan Solbach (designer) & Mirjam Fischer (Mille Pages); Gloria Wismer & Andrea Kempter (Edition Patrick Frey).
The round tables will be held in English. Admission is free but places are limited and will be organized on a first come first served basis.
