Michael Kinzer

Michael Kinzer’s career has been dominated by cultural projects. He began as a booker at Fri-Son in Fribourg, before becoming coordinator of the event program at the Swiss national exhibition Expo.02 and co-head of the Cargo project on the Arteplage in Neuchâtel. He subsequently became administrative manager and then overall head of the foundation for the three most important cultural institutions in La Chaux-de-Fonds: the historical theater, the music hall and the Théâtre Populaire Romand. From 2009 to 2015, he was the director of the Festival de la Cité in Lausanne. He has been a member of various committees and commissions of regional and national cultural institutions including the Fondation pour la Chanson et les Musiques Actuelles and Swiss Music Export. He is currently head of culture for the city of Lausanne.
