Swiss Music Prize
Procedure for the Swiss Music Prize
The Swiss Music Prize recognises and highlights the work of exceptional and innovative Swiss musicians. Each year, the Federal Office of Culture appoints a panel of music experts to put forward candidates from all regions of the country and all fields of music. Their selection is then submitted to the Federal Music Jury.
In February the seven members of the jury chose the recipient of the Swiss Grand Award for Music and the 14 winners of the Swiss Music Prize. The Swiss Grand Award for Music is endowed with CHF 100,000, while each Swiss Music Prize is worth CHF 25,000.
