Special Academy Award 2021
The Special Academy Award goes to costume designer Linda Harper for her contribution to the films “Von Fischen und Menschen”, “Platzspitzbaby” and “Spagat / ШПАГАТ”.
Statement by the Nomination Committee:
Linda Harper always creates costumes with a purpose, without overstating it. Her longstanding experience enables her to give a credible identity to the wearers of her costumes, always with discretion and originality, winning in style the risky aesthetic challenge of the ordinary and, at times, the unattractive. She has expert knowledge of how to choose the best colours for the montage for each item of clothing, enabling scenes to be moved around without compromising the continuity.
