Special Academy Award 2019
The Special Academy Award 2019 goes to the costume designer Monika Schmid and the production designer Su Erdt for their compelling and visually stunning historical design in the fiction film “Zwingli”.
Statement by the Nomination Committee:
“Zwingli” captivates with its authentic costumes and convincing scenography. Evident in each and every scene is the two award winners’ passion and precision, fused to compose an overall historical picture rarely found in Swiss cinema.
