Georges Schwizgebel receives Honorary award
Georges Schwizgebel is considered one of the world’s best-known and most compelling designers in the animation film genre. With his fluid metamorphoses, he is a "painter of the big screen". The sweeping camera movements in his film paintings transcend spatial and temporal boundaries with astounding continuity.
Georges Schwizgebel is a founding member of GSFA (Groupement Suisse du Film d’Animation), which was established as an association for professional animation filmmakers in a kitchen in Geneva on 12 October 1968. GSFA celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018.
