He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Major in Film) from UQAM (Université du Québec, Montreal) and worked as a director for Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS) from 1992-96 before becoming a producer and director for his own company, Caravan Films, from 1996-2001. He set up Akka Films in 2003.
