Jury report

With almost two decades of posters for International Workers’ Day in Zurich, the designer proves his skillful persistence and dedication to the labour movement. Rooted himself in vocational training and aware of labour and union history and their visual representation, the designer does not fall into the trap of repetitive nostalgia, instead playfully exploring possibilities for a new design language. The resulting works are graphically impactful while also evidencing a recognisable political stance.
