Jury report
Emma Casella, Alix Szijarto and Yihan Zhang collaborated over a library of wool fibres selected between Switzerland and China. Through collecting raw fibres, felted samples and technical descriptions, they offer access to a corpus of rare yak and goat breeds.
The jury salutes the successful effort to rediscover human expertise linked to wool and to counterbalance the rise of synthetic fibres through a travelling exhibition, workshops and publications.
