Jury report

The talented duo of Angelo Buonomo and Didier Cometti, also known as “the best kept secret couturiers”, won the jury over with the presentation of their outstanding Letter to the Future. Their Paris atelier DidierAngelo works hand in hand with the city’s great fashion houses. Their multidisciplinary approach, which fluidly combines styling, photography, make-up art and the very finest tailoring with a light touch and virtuosity, was reason enough to mark this entry out as unique. The work displayed by the two couturiers in Basel delighted the jury with its intelligent blend of mutually complimentary elements: restored garments and textiles, reproductions of entire looks, a series of behind-the-scenes photos and a handmade, limited-edition book.
