Using a clever presentation, Franziska Burkhardt offers an insight into her multi-facetted work. The palette ranges from slides designs, concert posters and New Year's cards via T-shirts with order forms to programmes and posters for well-known cultural institutions. Franziska Burkhardt knows how to use the design possibilities in a smart and extremely professional manner and they are as varied as the print products themselves. She combines free hand-drawn elements with typography that is greatly reduced in graphic terms, a collage technique with matrix-bound fonts and personally developed digital fonts with newly formulated graphic quotations. Her work is characterised by the idiosyncratic and refreshing synthesis of numerous (typo-) graphic forms. Unbiased delight in the game runs through the broad spectrum of her work like a thread, with the designer never losing sight of conceptual discipline or graphic accuracy.
