'The Things'
The two graphic de­sign­ers' large-for­mat sheets pre­sent the re­sults of an ex­ten­sive and in­ten­sive, in­deed ob­ses­sive piece of re­search into the sys­tem­at­ics of Latin let­ter­ing. They break let­ters down into the small­est for­mal units like stroke, cross, cir­cle, and as­sess the fre­quency of their ap­pear­ance in di­a­grams, ta­bles and lists. In this metic­u­lously pre­cise work, aimed at com­plete­ness, 'Norm' is car­ry­ing out basic re­search and thus clearly and iron­i­cally show­ing its font de­vel­op­ment prin­ci­ples.
