These series of portraits were commissioned by the 'Schauspielhaus'. Visitors, the ensemble and others working on the 2001/02 season are arranged coolly and objectively, then depicted full face, in profile or in half-profile. The people stand against an unspectacular background with serious faces, and part of their everyday environment is presented with them as a detail. Here the jury is rewarding the conceptual clarity of the work, and the highly individual approach to the people represented.
