Mathieu Menghini

(b. 1972) is a historian and currently Professor of Cultural History and Practice at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland. Based at the Haute Ecole de Travail Social in Geneva, he works with other departments of the University such as the Manufacture theatre school in Lausanne, Kunst und Musik in Geneva and the École nationale des Beaux arts in Paris. He was previously director of the Centre Culturel Neuchâtelois, the Théâtre du Crochetan and the Théâtre Forum Meyrin in Geneva. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, has developed and organised the Poétiser la Cité festival in Neuchâtel and Monthey, and was co-author of the poetic and visual concert La scène révoltée at the Théâtre de Vevey in 2012. He also writes for the magazine La Couleur and the daily newspaper Le Courrier.
