Owing to the cancellation of the exhibition and competition in Basel this year as a result of the pandemic situation, the Swiss Art Awards are staging an alternative programme. The Swiss Art Awards are more than prize money: they are also important as a place of exchange with the professional world, a platform for networking, and of course because they create visibility for the artists, critics, curators and architects. This year they have been given a new form that is decentralized, online or offline.
Between August and October, the 55 finalists from the last round of the Swiss Art Awards 2020 will be presenting activities on the website swissartawards.ch and on the Instagram account @swissartawards. A publication will appear as a supplement to the December edition of the Kunstbulletin.
