Aloys Adorn, détective privé excentrique, filme et observe à travers son appareil photo la vie des autres, jusqu’au jour où le décès de son père le sort de son train-train bien ordonné et le déstabilise. Lorsqu’après une nuit bien arrosée, il se réveille dans un bus, le choc est profond: son appareil et ses photos d’observation ont été volés. Peu après, une mystérieuse femme lui téléphone, le fait chanter et l’oblige à participer à une obscure expérience. C’est le début d’un voyage magique, au cours duquel Aloys tombe amoureux de la voix à l’autre bout du fil et trouve enfin la force de sortir de sa solitude.
