Architektur Forum Ostschweiz initiated a series of newspaper articles about noteworthy regional constructions and plans. Now, the articles are presented in a large-format, relatively slim white volume with a small black title font and a contents listing on the cover, together with essays on the topic. Inside, the layouts once again employ large areas of white. Most pages have just one conspicuously narrow column that is filled with either text (often to the left) or images (often to the right). The result is an unconventional construction of the book space, with a strongly vertical orientation that echoes the architectural theme. Columns of text and images are treated almost exactly the same, often appearing side by side on double pages to create a parallel reading flow. The typography is exceptional, and overall the book creates an impression of calm and efficiency.
