Bern, 15.06.2015 - The Federal Office of Culture has named 11 winners of the Swiss Art Awards and 18 winners of the Swiss Design Awards. The works by participants in the second round of the Swiss Art Competition and Swiss Design Competition will be shown in the Swiss Art Awards 2015 and Swiss Design Awards 2015 exhibitions, which take place in parallel with Art Basel. The Swiss Art Awards 2015 will be presented this evening in the presence of Federal Councillor Alain Berset.

The awards for art, architecture and mediation carry each prize money of CHF 25,000. Artists Christoph Büchel and Olivier Mosset, curator Urs Stahel and the architects Staufer/Hasler, the previously announced winners of the Swiss Grand Award for Art / Prix Meret Oppenheim 2015, will also be honoured at the award ceremony.

The winners of the Swiss Design Awards in the fields of products and objects, fashion and textile design, graphic design, photography, scenography and mediation can choose between prize money of CHF 25,000 or a studio residence abroad.
