Swiss Art Awards – the 2014 winners

Bern, 16.06.2014 - The Swiss Art Awards 2014 are presented this evening in Basel in the presence of Federal Councillor Alain Berset. Organised by the Federal Office of Culture, they recognise the work of eight artists, an architect and an art mediator. Works by the participants in the second round of the Swiss Art Competition are presented in the Swiss Art Awards 2014 exhibition, which takes place in parallel with Art Basel.

The Swiss Art Competition is open to Swiss artists and architects as well as art and architecture mediators. The Federal Art Committee acts as jury. The competition consists of two rounds. In the first, the participants submit a dossier to the Committee, and those selected then go forward to a second round in which they present their work in the public Swiss Art Awards exhibition. Here, the 10 award winners are chosen, with each receiving CHF 25,000.
